- Drains West Black Creek Basin (~1.5 sq. mi.), no active mining remains, much of area has been remined
- Tunnel length is 325 feet
- Primary pollutants are aluminum, manganese and acidity
- Flow ranges from 1000GPM to >20,000GPM, approximate average flow of 4000GPM
Gowen Tunnel
- Located off Tomhickon Road between Fern Glen and Rock Glen
- Drains Roberts Run Basin (~0.5 sq. mi.), no active mining remains, much of area has been remined
- Tunnel length is 498 feet
- Primary pollutants are aluminum, manganese and acidity
- Flow ranges from 50GPM to >10,000GPM, approximate average flow of 5000GPM
